So, who pays attention to graduation quotes? Is it just new graduates looking for a graduation quote for a yearbook entry, or for a graduation speech? The short answer is, not always.

"Action is the foundational key to all success."
Anthony Robbins

As the quote cited above declares loudly, action needs to be taken before any success is realized. And, while this quote may not seem in any way earth shattering, it is more important than you would at first think.

Now, there is another interesting issue that arises when one thinks that action needs to be taken only a few times. Far too often, people fall into the trap thinking that a few actions will lead them to success. This is entirely wrong and says a lot about the person. Action is not a one time or two time or three time thing; it reoccurs constantly, with dedication, and perseverance. Action will take you forward but will not lead to success unless these actions are done until the final achievement is realized.

And, if one also thinks that the easiest of actions is all that is required then success will only be a fleeting dream. Again, certain actions are hard, they need to be done no matter how difficult. Success does not come easy through a couple of action steps and it does not come to those who are lazy or easily knocked off their path because they tire or would rather engage in recreational activities.

Let it also be understood that success is not just the final completion of acquiring what you want. Success does not mean resting forever on what you just did because the world keeps moving forward and so should you. Here is a simple example; you could have wanted to be the best buggy whip maker in the world and could have accomplished your goal but what happens when the world moves on and buggy whips are no longer needed no matter how ell you make them? Such was the case when automobiles replaced buggies and the need for buggy whips.

So, success may come but do not rest on past accomplishments or you will find that time overtakes what you have accomplished. Look forward, stay alert, and make new dreams, new goals, the new world unfolds with you in the lead not dragging behind. Success is more a constant journey rather than a certain point in time.
